My Idea to have an “A” B”" fleets is going to happen!
this is to help everyone, not just to level the field, it will speed up our Victoria Regatta’s races also to welcome our new Skipper and keep our old salty dog’s as well,
what I would like to try is a run of an “A” “B” Fleet, this has worked in other club’s, I was proud to Receive 1st place “B” Champ of the O’aces club in Las Vegas.
We have a few high ranked Skipper in our club! I’m not one of them! but I do keep trying….that’s what I want everyone to do is keep trying,,,,
“B” fleet Skipper’s get to have a 15-30 sec. head start (depends on conditions)
“B” fleet doesn’t mean the bad skippers it means they are a lower ranked like This Duck skipper is lower Ranked to Morgan, Chris and Mike Skeen….this will raise the bar for the higher ranked skippers as they have to get around the “B” fleet skippers
We will have our normal Regatta there will be a ranking system based on the first race for the “B” fleet the lowest 4 ranked skippers are the “B” skippers
If a “B” ranked skipper win’s 3 races he is moved up to A fleet and the lowest Ranked A fleet skipper moves to”B” fleet
If this causes anyone to feel “left out”, mad! or what they think we can do to improve our Victoria fleet let me know after this Regatta, I will do what I can to improve it…..if this doesn’t work out after lets say 3 Regatta’s we can go back to the way it is now,
the main Idea is to welcome new members and keep the old members this will also make the club stronger… hopefully!!!
