First there was the Yellow Jersey, then the Green Jacket, then the Super Bowl Ring.   More coveted than all, there is now the OMYC Bullet Glass. It is awarded to those skippers who have reached the pinnacle of R/C sailing and exhibit only the highest level of competitive skill, seamanship  and decency. The OMYC Bullet Glass will be presented to an IOM skipper after they win their first race ("bullet") in a Sunday OMYC scored regatta. We hope this will add some pizazz to our scored events. Guest and visitors(ie the guys from Seattle) are also eligible. The first event is scheduled for Sunday 3/20  beginning 12:30AM at the Westmoreland Pond.

The OMYC Bullet Glass is a tall hand blown Pilsner glass. There is an etching of our burgee on one side and an outline of an IOM on the other. The classic and subdued etching is done by a master craftsman. The glass provides for a comfortable grip and it is heavily weighted to prevent tipping. This will be appreciated by those skippers who believe seven pints before lunch is drinking in moderation(this is more directed to the guys from Seattle and BC naturally). Beer tastes better in this magical chalice.  If you have a tough day at the office or the dog bites you……. pour a fine ale in the glass and the world will be a better place.
