Westmoreland Casting Pond
The Westmoreland Casting Pond was built in 1934. It is a nice man-made pond, square in shape, with a paved walkway all the way around it. It has been used for sailing by the club since the club was formed in 1950. The pond is surrounded by trees so the wind swirls quite a bit, but not as much as the Tualatin Commons Pond. It is located east of the intersection of SE Rex St and SE 22nd Ave, Portland, OR
Blue Lake Park
A 64-acre natural lake fed by underground springs, Blue Lake provides opportunities for boating, fishing and swimming, and makes a beautiful backdrop for hundreds of family picnics, community events and special programs throughout the year.
Hood River, Port Marina Park
We are sailing in the marina behind the Port Marina Park. Take East Port Marina Drive towards the jetty. We sail from the tee-shape dock off the jetty towards the river entrance. If you want to get directions from google or mapquest try "600 East Marina Way, Hood River,OR"

Bethany Lake Park
The lake is located under large power lines. The east end of the pond may contain weeds at various times during the year, especially summer. The west end, which is more open, appears to stay weed free and is deep.
Commonwealth Park
The club has used this pond throughout it’s history. The best location is at the west end where the pond opens up. There are walkways around the pond. The southwest end also has a wood platform extending out into the water. Watch for rocks near the shore. Also, the pond may become weed clogged in the summer.

Tualatin Commons Pond
The Tualatin Commons Pond is a nice man made pond surrounded by paved walkways and several restaurants. Wind conditions are good when from the west. Otherwise the wind can be very inconsistent.
Trojan Nuclear Plant Pond
This is one of several ponds within the Trojan Nuclear Plant grounds. There is a parking lot and picnic tables. The "71850 Columbia River Highway (Highway 30), Ranier, OR 97048" address is approximate, just to make the map work.
Directions: From Portland drive on Highway 30 toward Saint Helens. The Trojan Nuclear Plant site is on Highway 30 about 12 miles north of Saint Helens and about one mile north of the tiny town of Gobel. Look for the Trojan access road on the right shortly after you pass Gobel. Turn right onto the access road. Drive back toward the buildings, keeping to the right. There are several ponds here. The big pond on the left is the reflecting pool. Forget it. Watch for picnic tables and a parking lot ahead. Look for guys with little sailboats.
Blue Lake Park
